Under-21s score four to close on leaders

COLWYN BAY U21s moved to within one point of league leaders Llandudno Reserves in the FAW National Reserve League’s Premier Conference with a 4-0 Friday night away win at Ruthin Town Reserves.

The game saw Alex Downes make a welcome first appearance after his long journey back from injury, while new goalkeeper signing Jack Moorley kept a clean sheet on his debut.

The young Seagulls ledc 3-0 at half-time with goals from Logan Sumner (24), Ben Woodmansee (28) and skipper Efan Bowden-Williams (38), and Elliott Bullock added the fourth goal on 77 minutes.
