Summary: Kent Women’s Plate quarter-finals
Maidstone United are through to the semi-finals of the GoCardless Kent Women’s Plate.
It marks the second consecutive season that the Stones have reached the final four in both the county and league cups.
Tori Campbell’s side booked their place in style, beating Faversham Strike Force 8-1 in the quarter-finals.
The Stones raced into a 4-0 lead by half-time, thanks to a brace from Kylie Manktelow (her 20th and 21st goals of the season), alongside strikes from Georgia Culpitt and Chi Madamombe.
After the break, goals from Kady Wilkinson and Campbell extended the advantage to six, before Culpitt added her second of the afternoon and Maidstone’s seventh.
The hosts pulled one back late on, but Freya Boorman capped off the win with her first goal of the season – finished in some style.
Cup action continues next weekend, when the Stones host Tonbridge Angels in the semi-finals of the league cup.
