Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Donovan Ferreira, Santa Clara soccer

Santa Clara soccer player Donovan Ferreira is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Feb. 9-14.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Ferreira had 61.1% to finish ahead of American High basketball player Tarun Srikanth, who was second at 18.4%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Ferreira, senior, scored a goal in Santa Clara’s 4-2 win over Los Gatos.
