Welcome Back Steven MacDonald!

We are delighted to announce the return of Steven MacDonald to the Raith Rovers Board of Directors.

A statement from the Board of Directors reads:

“Steven has great experience serving both as a Director and, more recently, as Chairman of Raith Rovers, and we’re delighted to have him back on board.

“He brings a wealth of business experience and a lot of good connections with local businesses that will strengthen our commercial performance in the local area.

“He has been warned that there will be no Elvis Presley impressions on the mic after home matches.”

Steven initially joined the Board in 2019, before departing in late 2024.

Upon his arrival Steven said: “I’m delighted to be back involved and I’m excited to contribute to continued progression of the Club.

“The current Board invited me to return, and it was an easy decision for me. I’m incredibly passionate about Raith Rovers and I know the club, Kirkcaldy and fanbase inside out.

“I wish the Football Club every success going forward and hope to play a major part in helping achieve these ambitions.”

A former Balwearie High School student, Steven has accumulated over 35 years of experience in the electric wholesale industry, founding SM Electrical Supplies in 1998.

Steven’s involvement in football began in the early nineties, leading Thorton Hibs through a successful period of their history as Club Chairman.

He would later join Glenrothes Juniors in 2006, leading the club to the inaugural East Region Premier League title.

A lifelong supporter and familiar face at Stark’s Park, Steven played a pivotal role in navigating the club through the Covid-19 pandemic, before becoming Club Chairman in April 2022.
