Milan team news: Boost as Pavlovic tests reveal no fracture

Milan will breathe a sigh of relief this morning, after medical examinations revealed that Strahinja Pavlovic has not suffered a fracture after being forced off at half-time in Milan’s Serie A draw against Como yesterday evening.

According to what has been reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Pavlovic underwent tests this morning which have confirmed no fractures but instead a hematoma in the soft tissue around his fibula in his left leg.

Therefore, a serious injury has been ruled out but it is one that may still keep the Milan defender out for a little while at least.

The Gazzetta reports claim that there’s some concern that the Serbian will be unavailable for Sunday’s match against Parma, whilst he will aim to return for the trip to Cremonese at the start of March.

With Pavlovic in doubt for Sunday, the reports suggest that Allegri will turn to Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Koni De Winter as his back three – as he did for the second half in the draw against Como.
