I don't entirely disagree with that, both points really, but on the first one there is something to be said about certain players or certain teams just not having VAR intervene when it would cost them and it does when it benefits them... I don't see how that has changed the net result all that much really.I'd argue a highlight reel of Steven Gerrard's incidents during some of the the derby games might say otherwise.
I think there is a balance to be had still between nothing and catching the really stupidly obvious stuff that gets missed minus the forensic analysis.
Although Gerrard had some shockers, the awful two footer on Naysmith and his starfish dive in the box come to mind, VAR also wasnt there to see Cahill grind Alonso's (?) head in a headlock into the turf.
