Re: Constant heavy rain and non league clubs
Fat Buddha OBEHereford had to play at Worcester last night and their playing their next home game at Redditch. Club is in a right mess all round though
They did win last night.
I didn't think the ground is that close to the river - it isn't.
But there is a stream called Widemarsh Brook very close to the ground. The name is very suspicious in terms of winter flooding and low lying ground.
Hereford are 7 games behind some clubs in NL North. If they had played all their games they'd be on the brink of escape from the relegation zone, not 8 points into it.
We have a 100% win record against them (as Hereford United) 2 FL Trophy games and 1 League Cup game.
I think I saw both FLT games - definitely the 1-0 win in the fog in 1989 that a=saw us crash out in the preliminary round with only 3,000 there. It's the only time I've turned up for a game and the gates weren't yet open. This was 15-20 minutes before kick off. And there were only a few hanging around outside.
