When we play direct and at a good tempo (3 replies)

How much better do we look consistently?
I think most will agree that in games like today we look great, compared to games where we get pressed but try and retain possession and struggle.
I know we’ve now got Priske, Osman, Solis, Wagner who can help with pace, running power, distribution etc but we’ve shown against Ipswich early season and Newcastle last season how well we can play when we set out to pass forwards and not worry about dominating the ball. Norwich and Millwall also spring to mind. I do hope this is how we approach away games as well as home games now. Because if teams come at us, we can really get at them with the options available. But if we play possession based tepid football like we did for an hour against Albion and Sheff Wednesday as two examples we look a really average team.
