A Statement from Robin Byrne

I want to express my profound frustration and deep disappointment with the referee’s decision to cancel today’s fixture. 

Both clubs, both managers and both sets of players wanted to play the match. Our ground staff had intimated no doubts in regard to today’s game, so it is bitterly disappointing that the officials took this decision so late in the day.

The team will now train on the pitch instead, so if you are still in the stadium, please feel free to stay and watch them work.

We again sincerely apologise to both sets of supporters for the inconvenience caused.

Supporters will have the option to receive a full refund or carry their ticket over to the rearranged fixture. Further details will be communicated shortly.
