Nottingham Forest Contract Length For Vitor Pereira Emerges

The contract length for new Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira has emerged, after the Tricky Trees reached an agreement with the Portuguese manager to replace Sean Dyche.
Nottingham Forest sacked Dyche late Wednesday night, after the 0-0 draw against bottom of the table Wolves sparked further relegation worries.
Dyche was appointed in late October to succeed Ange Postecoglou, after the Tricky Trees sacked him after just eight games in charge.
The former Everton boss came in and steadied the ship, losing only eight of the 18 games in the Premier League.
He had a great record in Nottingham Forest’s Europa League campaign as they won four, drew one and lost one in the six games under him.
However, with Nottingham Forest just three points above West Ham United in 17th place, Dyche has been sacked and former Wolves boss Pereira looks set to lead the City Ground outfit.
Pereira will be the fourth permanent boss for the Tricky Trees this season and he will sign a contract until the summer of 2027, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
There is, it is suggested, an agreement in principle for him to take over.
The Portuguese boss successfully managed to steer Wolves clear of relegation last season, but was sacked after going without a win in ten league games.
The Molineux outfit were hopeful of improvement under Pereira and were hesitant to let him go but ultimately replaced him with Rob Edwards.
He has since been without a club and is now being appointed by Nottingham Forest to help them navigate the rest of the season.
The 57-year old could well be in the dugout for Nottingham Forest’s meeting with Fenerbahce in the Europa League playoff round.
Pereira was long linked with managing in England before he took the Wolves job.
The Portuguese was mooted as a target for Everton after David Moyes left his post.
He was then on the verge of getting the Everton job in 2022, before the Toffees had a rethink.
