Patriots’ Drake Maye Puts Injury Concerns To Rest Ahead Of Super Bowl
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye did his best to put injury concerns to rest ahead of Super Bowl LX.
“I’m feeling great,” Maye said during his media availability on Wednesday, per team-provided video. “… I felt good on Monday, looking forward to getting out here today, tomorrow and Friday.”
Maye, who suffered a shoulder injury during his club’s victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship, was listed as a limited participant on multiple injury reports last week but all signs point to him being ready to go moving forward — as the man himself claims to be at full strength.
“I wasn’t limited on Monday,” Maye said. “I don’t see why I would be limited today.”
The Patriots have done their best to follow protocol with regard to the injury report, though that seemingly has caused more of a stir than anything regarding the sophomore signal-caller.
Maye, despite potentially feeling fine, has been asked numerous times about his injury throughout the week — which has lef to some perturbed answers.
New England doesn’t seem too worried moving forward, however, as it prepares for the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday — with kickoff for the big game at Levi’s Stadium scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
