Thomas Frank reveals when Micky van de Ven is expected to return for Tottenham
Thomas Frank has provided an update on when he expects some of Tottenham’s injured players to return to action, including Micky Van de Ven.
Kevin Danso, Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven have become the latest players to join the treatment table for Tottenham, adding to the club’s injury woes.
That forced Thomas Frank to start Archie Gray at right wing-back against Man City and hand Radu Dragusin his first start of the season.
To make matters worse, Cristian Romero was battling through an illness and only lasted until half-time against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Despite having double-digit absentees and being 2-0 down at half-time, the Lilywhites showed tremendous character to fight back and salvage a point against Man City.
Frank has now provided some good news on the injury front for Spurs, revealing that he is hopeful of Micky van de Ven being fit for Tottenham’s trip to Old Trafford next Saturday.
Speaking after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Man City, the Dane told Football.London: “(Romero) I hope it’s minor, nothing. Micky, we hope is back for Man United, and Djed is hopefully not too long.”
Spurs suffer another injury scare against Man City
While it sounds like Romero, Van de Ven, and Spence may be back in action very soon, Tottenham are still waiting for confirmation on the severity ofDanso’s injury after the centre-back hyperextended his big toe.
What would be even more concerning for Spurs fans is the fact that Dominic Soanke was forced off after seemingly rolling his ankle late on against City.
However, thankfully, Solanke insisted after the 2-2 draw that he will be ‘fine’, which will be music to the ears of Tottenham supporters.
