Bill Belichick Snubbed From Pro Football Hall of Fame & There's Talk About Why He Wasn't Voted In
Bill Belichick, the former Head Coach of the New England Patriots alongside their star quarterback Tom Brady, shockingly did not make it into the NFL Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, and it has shocked the football world.
There seems to be some drama at play in the decision. You need 40 votes from the pool of Pro Football Hall of Fame voters, and he fell short. He will have another shot next year, but it was widely thought that the eight-time Super Bowl winning coach would be a shoe in.

One source told ESPN, “Politics kept him out. He doesn’t believe this is a reflection on his accomplishments.”
Another source said that two widely talked about scandals, Spygate and Deflategate, came up when talking about his eligibility.
One anonymous voter told the publication: “The only explanation [for the outcome] was the cheating stuff. It really bothered some of the guys.”
Most of the voters are veteran journalists, but there are also some former coaches and GMs involved. One former GM, Bill Polian, claims he heard someone say that perhaps Bill should not get in his first year due to the scandals, but then said, “I was shocked to learn Bill didn’t get in. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.”
However, another report claims “Polian added that he could not remember with 100% certainty if he voted for Belichick, saying he was 95% sure he voted for the coach and a player, ‘most likely’ L.C. Greenwood.”
Bill apparently was “puzzled” and “disappointed” by the snub.
