Fenerbahce want to beat Tottenham to £59m striker who scored in rare start on Saturday
Fenerbache are stepping up their interest in a Premier League forward who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over recent weeks.
Spurs have managed to bring Conor Gallagher and Souza through the door this month, but they still have work to do before the window slams shut.
It has been reported that Tottenham are keeping an eye on a whole host of attackers across Europe as they attempt to add firepower to their forward line.
One of those is Omar Marmoush, who Spurs are allegedly sensing an opportunity to sign after he fell down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order this season.
Fenerbahce set to advance on Tottenham target Omar Marmoush
Turkish outlet Haberler are now reporting that Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit of Marmoush after he returned from the African Cup of Nations.
It is revealed that the Egyptian international is unhappy with his lack of game time at City, and he wants to leave the club in search of game time.
Having said that, Marmoush was handed a rare start for City against Wolves on Saturday, and even scored the game’s opening goal.
The Turkish club are ready to pounce on the deal, and they are set to meet the player’s entourage and Man City representatives this week as they try to hammer out an agreement.
Fenerbache come up with a formula to beat Spurs to Marmoush
Haberler say that the Istanbul club are facing competition from Tottenham and Aston Villa, who are both fans of the 26-year-old.
Fenerbache are set to make a loan offer for Marmoush and are hoping that an offer of regular game time will help them clinch the deal.
It remains to be seen if the Turkish side’s advances will force Spurs into action, with the Lilywhites desperately needing reinforcements to their forward line, having struggled to create opportunities and score goals so far this season.
