Fabrizio Romano confirms Inter Milan still want to sign Tottenham star 3 years later
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a senior Tottenham star remains on the wishlist of one of the biggest clubs in Serie A, Inter Milan.
As we enter the final week of the transfer window, rumours continue to abound about potential exits from Spurs.
It has been claimed that Mathys Tel is keen to leave Tottenham, while some sources have also claimed that Radu Dragusin is pushing to join AS Roma.
Meanwhile, it has also been claimed by various Italian outlets over the last two months that Guglielmo Vicario is wanted by Inter Milan, and Fabrizio Romano has now shed light on the goalkeeper’s situation.
Guglielmo Vicario will not leave Tottenham in January
Romano has now confirmed that the Spurs number one has been on Inter’s radar for a long time and that the Nerazzurri are continuing to eye a move for the 29-year-old.
However, he made it clear that the Italian side are only expected to make an approach for the goalkeeper at the end of the season.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Another name for Inter Milan is Guglielmo Vicario, the Tottenham goalkeeper. But remember, this is a topic for the summer, not for January.
“Inter are tracking Vicario. Inter were already about to sign Vicario before he joined Tottenham, then a deal collapsed because they were waiting to see if Onana went to Manchester United. In that time, Tottenham arrived and signed the player. But Vicario remains on Inter’s shortlist.”
Vicario wants to leave Spurs in the summer
Several reports have claimed that the Tottenham number one is keen on returning to Serie A at the end of this season.
In fact, it has emerged that Vicario recently changed his agent, which may be a sign that he is preparing for a transfer.
It has even been claimed over recent weeks that the Nerazzuri have already contacted Vicario regarding a move to the San Siro.
