Gray On Bouncing Back Quickly & Squad Update
Hibernian Head Coach David Gray is determined to get a reaction out of his players on Saturday as we return to league action against Falkirk on Saturday (24 January).
The Hibees are looking to bounce back after a disappointing exit in the Scottish Cup at the hands of Dunfermline Athletic.

Up next, we face a trip to the Falkirk Stadium and Gray is expecting a positive reaction from his players this weekend.
“The disappointment was certainly there coming in on the Monday, and rightly so. But once you go over it, you then have to move on – that’s really important.
“My job is to remind the players and the staff every single day around the place to make sure that we bounce back as quickly as we can. Our league form has been very good up until this point, so going into that Scottish Cup game we were in good form.
“We need to make sure that we now have a clear plan for what can happen moving forward. We’ve only got the league to focus on, and our target is to try and finish it as high as we possibly can.
“Everyone’s looking to see if we can get a reaction after the disappointment last weekend.
“It’ll be a difficult game. The fact that we beat them in the last game at Easter Road has got zero bearing on this one. They are the team directly below us, so if we can win the game it puts distance between us and them.
“But our mindset and motivation don’t change. That’s something that’s served us well - trying to catch the team in front of us. All we can do now is our bit, if we go and win the game and other results go our way, we can move up a place in the league, and that has to be the target just now.”
Ahead of the fixture, Gray provided a squad update – including the latest on Josh Mulligan who limped off injured against Dunfermline last time out.
“We’ve got a few bumps and bruises, as I’ve mentioned previously. The ones that are definitely out are Josh Campbell, who’s still out, and Josh Mulligan – who will also be out. Josh (Mulligan) came off in the first half and we had concerns when he stayed down before having to come off. He’ll be out for a few weeks, at least.
“There are a few others who are touch and go at the minute, and we’ll just have to see how they come through.”
