Jørgen Strand Larsen- Interest genuine
First new player thread of January.
Confirmed target by many sources so feels a safe one to make.
6ft3 Norway international striker and close friend of Leeds fan goal machine Erling Haaland with a Leeds season ticket holder as his agent.
Known by most for his exploits on loan at Wolves last season, where he managed 14 goals and 4 assists in just 2500 minutes.
Basically a goal every other game.
Struggled more this season, but so have Wolves.
Does have 6 goals and 2 assists in all competitions though.
Previously he impressed in La Liga at Celta Vigo managing 17 goals and 7 assists in 4610 minutes.
It should be noted he has taken very few penalties and has a better goal and assist ratio at the top level in open play than Calvert-Lewin.
He is decent in the air with decent mobility and work rate.
A pretty clinical finisher generally whose decent with his back to goal and at bringing others into play as his assist show.
Not the fastest it has to he said though.
Quite similar to Calvert-Lewin actually as players but a few years younger.
Is he someone we need?
Whether he and DCL work as a pair not so sure, bit samey, neither blessed with great pace and is a concern they may want to play in the same areas.
But he's younger, better top level open play record and seemingly able to stay fit so it's a different option.
