Serie A: Napoli vs. Sassuolo – probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Napoli midfielder Antonio Vergara is expected to start his first Serie A game today, at the Stadio Maradona against Sassuolo.
It kicks off at 18:00 CET (17:00 GMT) right after Udinese-Inter at 15:00 CET.
Napoli coach Antonio Conte will serve the second of a two-game ban, and the Partenopei will need to rotate despite injuries to Billy Gilmour, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, Frank Zambo Anguissa and Alex Meret.
Gazzetta and Sky Sport Italia report that Conte will start 23-year-old Vergara as an attacking midfielder close to Eljif Elmas. Rasmus Hojlund will get the nod up front, while Alessandro Buongiorno will return to the bench, making room for Sam Beukema, Amir Rrahmani and Juan Jesus in central defence.
Napoli will visit Copenhagen next Tuesday in a key Champions League match, but the Partenopei must also return to winning ways in Serie A after three consecutive draws.
Sassuolo also have several injured players, including starters Domenico Berardi and Kristian Thorstvedt.
