Texans Rule Out Superstar Prior To Divisional Round Matchup With Patriots

The Houston Texans will be without their best offensive player for their divisional round matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Houston ruled out wide receiver Nico Collins (concussion) on Friday.

Collins, who suffered his injury during Houston’s wild-card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, totaled 71 receptions, 1,117 receiving yards and six touchdowns in the regular season. Christian Kirk, Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins will be asked to step up in his absence.

New England will be fairly close to full strength, as linebacker Harold Landry III (knee) and running back Terrell Jennings (concussion) were ruled questionable on Friday.

Landry is the only regular who isn’t ready to go, as cornerbacks Alex Austin (wrist) and Christian Gonzalez (concussion), offensive linemen Morgan Moses (knee) and Thayer Munford Jr. (knee), tight end Hunter Henry (knee), linebacker Anfernee Jennings (knee) and defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga (foot) were full participants at the final practice of the week.
