Inter enquire for Perisic return but PSV refuse to entertain offers
Inter have explored the possibility of bringing Ivan Perisic back to Italy in January, but PSV have made it clear they have no intention of letting the Croatian winger leave.
The Nerazzurri are actively searching for reinforcements on the right flank following the long-term injury to Denzel Dumfries. Luis Henrique, signed in the summer, has yet to fully convince, prompting Inter to look for an experienced, low-cost solution rather than a major investment.
According to Goal Italia, that search has led the club to revisit a familiar name. Perisic, now at PSV, is highly regarded in Milan for his versatility, experience and deep understanding of the club, having made more than 200 appearances for Inter between 2015 and 2022.
PSV close door on Inter hopes of Perisic return
The Nerazzurri’s interest went beyond an initial enquiry. The club made direct contact with the experienced winger, who is understood to have been open to the idea of a return to Serie A and to Inter specifically. Encouraged by the player’s stance, Inter then approached PSV to assess the feasibility of a deal.
The response from the Dutch side was firm. PSV have informed Inter that Perisic is not for sale, effectively shutting down the operation unless there is an unexpected change of position.
The Nerazzurri had previously been turned down by João Cancelo, now back at Barcelona, and continue to monitor alternative profiles. Contacts have been made over other options, but for now the club are prepared to wait, hoping that a more viable opportunity emerges before the transfer window closes.
