Match Preview: Maidstone United Women vs Bromley Development
Maidstone United Women return to home soil this Sunday afternoon as they welcome Bromley Development for a second-round clash in the Kent FA Women’s Plate.
The Plate has always been a competition that the Stones value highly, as such Maidstone will be looking to carry momentum into Plate action and put on a strong performance in front of their home supporters after last Sunday’s draw vs Margate.
Bromley Development arrive as a youthful, energetic side who won’t shy away from the challenge. Development teams are often unpredictable, bringing pace and enthusiasm, and Maidstone will know they’ll need to be sharp and disciplined throughout the 90 minutes to secure progression.
Speaking ahead of the game, Maidstone manager Tori Campbell highlighted the importance of the players mindset and home support:
“The Plate is a great opportunity for us, and playing at home makes it even more special. Bromley will be energetic and well organised, so we’ll need to be disciplined and brave on the ball. The players are really looking forward to it, and having our supporters behind us could make a huge difference.”
As always, the support from the stands can make a real difference in cup football. The players will be looking to feed from the home crowd and take another step forward in the Kent FA Women’s Plate.
All roads lead to Maidstone on Sunday — come along, get behind the team, and be part of the cup journey. Up the Stones! ????⚫
