Tyrese Haliburton Sends Message to Celtics’ Jayson Tatum On Instagram
It’s no secret that Jayson Tatum is pushing for a return to the court this season. The Boston Celtics superstar is currently sidelined with a torn Achilles tendon. However, a steady flow of workout videos has allowed the fanbase to dream that he will be back on the court before the postseason begins.
On January 7, Tatum uploaded a photo dump to his Instagram page. Some of the images showed him in the gym, working on his rehab. The comments section was full of love and support from Celtics fans across the globe.
However, one comment stood out. Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers All-Star guard who is also sidelined with an Achilles injury, jokingly told Tatum to stay off the court.
“Rah get off the court fam,” Haliburton wrote.
Haliburton’s comment received over 2,000 likes. The young guard is known for his jovial approach to the game and was clearly poking fun at someone who is going through the same ordeal as he is.
Nevertheless, Celtics fans will undoubtedly hope that Tatum doesn’t heed Haliburton’s advice. With each passing month, it appears that Boston’s star forward is clearing another hurdle that moves him closer to returning. If Tatum were to take a step back, it would all but guarantee that he would be out for the season.
There has been some debate among Celtics fans as to whether Tatum should return this season or wait until October and return for the 2026-27 campaign. Whatever Boston’s front office chooses to do will be with Tatum’s best interests in mind. Still, we can’t deny that if he’s cleared to play this season, Boston’s chances of a deep playoff run will drastically improve.
