Re: Amazon Scammers

AmyT-FEA
This is my area of expertise at work, I work in fraud prevention: basically scammers have got hold of your Amazon login details, sent you a OTP from within your own Amazon account, then called you pressuring you to confirm it as a way to pass a security check for the change of email address. Once they locked you out of your account (but your card details were still there) they'll have intended to rinse you for all they could.

I'd advise getting your bank to cancel your card and send you a new one. Whoever got into your Amazon account will probably have your card info now too. Keep a close eye out for any payments you don't recognise in the meantime and report them to your bank as and when

Good advice Amy. Does it also make sense not to store card details within Amazon as presumably if you were hacked they couldn't actually buy anything?
