New Clip Shows Craig Woodson’s Message To K’Lavon Chaisson Before Big Fumble
The New England Patriots picked up a 28-24 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16, and late in the fourth quarter, it was K’Lavon Chaisson who stepped up and made a big play for the team. As it turns out, rookie safety Craig Woodson predicted Chaisson was going to deliver for his team moments before he did.
After the Pats scored to back up by four over the Ravens, the defense returned to the field looking to close out the game. Sure enough, on the second play of the drive, Chaisson tracked down Baltimore wide receiver Zay Flowers and punched the football out of his hands, with Marcus Jones quickly falling on it.
The play allowed New England’s offense to end the game and secure its 12th win of the season. And in a new video shared on social media, Woodson let Chaisson know that he believed he was due for a big play right before he forced Flowers to fumble the ball.
“It’s your time. Let’s go,” Woodson said to Chaisson moments before his game-changing play.
The 2025 season has been a breakout campaign for Chaisson, as his 6.5 sacks are already a career high. He’s frequently found a way to make disruptive plays for the Patriots’ defense, but none were bigger than his play against the Ravens.
New England’s defense hasn’t been perfect this season, but it has consistently found a way to step up in the most important moments. This unit will look to continue that trend in Week 17 when they square off against the New York Jets.
