December 23 – The business of U.S. youth soccer is a multi-billion-dollar industry, but for players and families, different leagues with different acronyms all fight for attention, claiming to be the best.
Pay-to-play remains the defining feature of the landscape, and it continues to throttle development by narrowing access and pushing kids into expensive, fragmented pathways that crowd each other out.
Against that backdrop, U.S. Club Soccer’s newly announced competition pathway is the latest attempt to bring some order to the alphabet soup.
