Chelsea ready to move on from Disasi as Milan & Roma monitor situation
The future of Axel Disasi appears increasingly clear, with the French defender expected to leave Chelsea when the January 2026 transfer window opens.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via MilanNews24, the French centre-back is no longer part of Enzo Maresca’s technical plans and has been offered to a wide range of clubs across Europe.
Chelsea have placed Disasi among the group of players training separately, with the priority now being to reduce the wage bill and create room for further reinforcements.
The financial aspect remains central to the operation. Disasi earns a significant salary in London, but Romano reports that the player is open to reducing his wages in order to secure a move that would allow him to return to regular football.
Roma & Milan among teams keen on Chelsea defender Disasi
Chelsea, for their part, are willing to consider a loan deal, a formula that could appeal to several interested clubs.
Italian sides are watching closely.
Milan are among those assessing the opportunity, as they continue to look for experienced defensive profiles at manageable costs.
Disasi is well known in Milanello from his time at Monaco, while the strong recent relationship between Milan and Chelsea, involving Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christopher Nkunku, could help smooth discussions.
Interest is not limited to the Rossoneri.
Roma, Lyon, Newcastle United and West Ham United have all made initial enquiries, although no negotiations are currently at an advanced stage.
