88% passing, 6 duels won: Amorim has new undroppable in £19m Man Utd star after dazzling display vs Bournemouth

Manchester United shared the spoils against Bournemouth in a thrilling 4-4 Premier League draw at Old Trafford on Monday night.

The Red Devils went into the game as favourites, given the Cherries had picked up just two points from their previous six matches.

United deservedly took a 2-1 lead at the interval, but the Cherries fought back with two quick-fire goals shortly after the half-time break.

Ruben Amorim’s side managed to pull back into the lead, but the visitors dampened their spirits with a late equaliser in the 84th minute.

The Cherries had the better chances in stoppage time, and goalkeeper Senne Lammens made a couple of exceptional saves to secure a point.

Bruno Fernandes was the best player on the pitch with a goal and an assist. The Portuguese scored with a stunning free-kick to make it 3-3.

However, we were equally impressed by Diogo Dalot, who operated from multiple positions.

The Portuguese started the game from left wing-back against the Cherries, and provided a fabulous cross in the lead-up to the opening goal.

During the final phase of the encounter, the Red Devils went on the attack with Dalot occupying more of a right-back position.

Dalot had a passing accuracy of 88 percent yesterday, winning six duels and making four recoveries.

The £19 million star also made six clearances and provided a wonderful cross for Amad Diallo to open the scoring.

The 26-year-old had a difficult November where he was largely a substitute, but has transformed his fortunes over recent weeks.

His performances have significantly improved on both ends of the pitch, and he has become undroppable under Amorim, in our view.

With Amad Diallo set to represent the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Dalot could now switch to the opposite end.

The Portuguese has been the left wing-back in the last few matches, but could operate in a different position in the near future.

Amorim has recently experimented with a 4-3-3 formation in training. Dalot could slot into a right-back role in the absence of Amad.
