HISTORICAL FA CUP RUN COMES TO AN END AFTER DEFEAT AGAINST LONDON BEES!
Match Report: Dartford FC Women 2-3 London Bees (AET)
Adobe Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round, played on Sunday, 14th December 2025.
The day the women’s side had been looking forward to since the draw was made arrived, as London Bees visited Princes Park for the 3rd Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
A place in the fourth round was on offer for the winner of this tie and this was a game that really did have it all.
The visitors began the game brightly and went ahead within the first minute of the game. In the first minute, the ball fell to Sam Lanza in the box and the Bees forward fired home from close range.
The Bees continued to create chances and doubled their lead midway through the first half. In the 26th minute, Millie Isherwood was fouled in the box. The Bees forward stepped up and converted the penalty to put the visitors two ahead.
London Bees were reduced to 10 three minutes later when Shamoy Campbell was sent off by the referee in the 29th minute.
This seemed to rejuvenate the home side who went close to getting a goal back minutes before the break. In the 39th minute, a fine strike from Darts midfielder Gabby Howell forced a fine stop from Bees keeper Tia Ginn.
The home side began the second half on the front foot and got a goal back just after the hour mark. In the 64th minute, a free kick from Abbey Davies found its way through to Amina Hanif in the box. The Darts forward fired home from close range to get a goal back for the hosts.
The team began to search for the equaliser and this came 10 minutes later. In the 74th minute, a free kick from Gabby Howell was headed home emphatically by Darts forward Paris Smith.
The Darts were reduced to 10 players moments later as Mya Lewis-Powell was sent off by the referee for a second bookable offence.
Both sides tried to find the winning goal in the minutes that remained, but no goal from either side meant extra time.
The Bees regained the lead early in the first half of extra time. In the 94th minute, a corner from the Bees found its way through to former Darts player, Brionne Fowle, who slotted home from close range to put the visitors ahead.
The home side went close again to drawing level midway through the first period. In the 98th minute, a fine overhead volley from Amina Hanif came back off the crossbar.
The Darts continued to search for the equaliser and went close in the final minute of the second half. In the 121st minute, a free kick from Abbey Davies was headed goal bound by Darts keeper Jade Charlton but the header went agonisingly past the post.
