Confirmed Man United XI vs Crystal Palace, Amorim makes two changes
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Red Devils are winless in the last three league games. They will be eyeing a victory against the Eagles, whom they have not beaten on the road since 2020.
Ahead of the encounter, Amorim has made two changes to the starting line-up from the 1-0 defeat to Everton at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Senne Lammens continues between the sticks as usual ahead of Altay Bayindir. The Belgian star will be eyeing the second clean sheet of his United career.
The central defence is unchanged. Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw keep their places in the back three.
Lisandro Martinez could make his long-awaited return from injury off the substitutes’ bench.
Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Dorgu have been replaced in the wing-back roles. The latter was criticised for his limited attacking output by Amorim in the pre-match presser.
Amad Diallo will play in a deeper right wing-back position against the Eagles, while Diogo Dalot has got the nod over Dorgu on the opposite end.
Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes have formed a regular partnership in the heart of the midfield, and it is no surprise that Amorim has stuck with them.
Further forward, Mason Mount starts alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee.
Mount will accompany Mbeumo in the attacking department, while Zirkzee continues to lead the line with Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko out injured.
The Red Devils are 12th in the league standings, but can climb up to fifth or sixth with a victory if other results go their way.
Palace are coming off a Thursday game in Europe. United have had more time to rest and train, and must capitalise on it with a win.
Confirmed Man United line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Crystal Palace: Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Mount; Zirkzee.
