Drake Maye’s Heartwarming Gesture Before Thanksgiving Turns Heads

The New England Patriots are gearing up for their Week 13 contest against the New York Giants, but before that happens, the team and its players will celebrate Thanksgiving this week. Ahead of the holiday, quarterback Drake Maye and his wife, Ann Michael, made sure to find a way to give back to their local community.

There’s a lot to like about Maye. His play on the field is obviously quite impressive, as he’s thrown for 3,130 yards and 21 touchdowns through 12 games to help New England emerge as one of the top teams in the league this year.

Off the field, though, his impact has been just as big. Maye has been generous with his time, even as his star profile has risen. His latest gesture saw him and Ann Michael help deliver Thanksgiving food baskets to families in need on Tuesday night.

Not everyone has the means to properly celebrate Thanksgiving, so it’s become a trend in recent years for professional athletes to help provide families in need with the opportunity to better enjoy the holiday. Maye has become just the latest player to find a way to help out those in need during the holiday season.

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Maye this season, as he has turned himself into a legitimate MVP contender in the blink of an eye. Through it all, though, Maye has remained humble and grounded, which is likely a big reason why the team keeps on winning games.

New England has one more game before it heads into its well-earned bye week, and it will look to continue its recent stretch of dominance. With the Pats’ upcoming game scheduled for Monday Night Football, kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
