Bodo/Glimt 2-3 Juventus | Player Ratings – Yildiz dazzles in sub-zero battle
Juventus picked up their first Champions League win of the campaign tonight with a 3-2 win against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on a snowy Tuesday night in Nordland.
Turkish sensation Kenan Yildiz was Football Italia’s Player of the Match for the game.
Bodo/Glimt 2-3 Juventus – Player Ratings
Bodo/Glimt: Haikin 6; Bjorkan 5.5, Aleesami 5.5, Bjortuft 6, Sjovold 6; Fet 6, Berg 6.5, Evjen 7; Blomberg 7, Hogh 7, Maatta 6
Juventus: Perin 5.5; Koopmeiners 6, Kelly 5.5, Kalulu 6; Cambiaso 6 (Cabal 5.5), Locatelli 6.5, Miretti 7 (Thuram 6), McKennie 7.5; Adzic 6 (Yildiz 8), Conceicao 7.5; Openda 7 (David 7)
Best Juventus Player: Kenan Yildiz – With Juventus a goal down at half-time, Spalletti introduced Yildiz for Adzic and the Bianconeri came to life. It took three minutes for the Turk to set up Openda, before an assist for a disallowed Miretti goal. Yildiz brings an exceptional level of attacking confidence to this side – one that was clearly missing in the first 45.
Lowest Juventus Rating: Vasilije Adzic – The Bianconeri’s hero in September’s Derby d’Italia was not so impressive tonight. It was a first start for the club since the end of September, having played just 22 minutes as a substitute under Spalletti. He struggled today and was replaced by Yildiz, a change that turned the game on its head.
Coach: Spalletti 7 – A trip to Bodo/Glimt is a notoriously tricky challenge due to pitch and weather conditions, and even if the decision to start Adzic was a bit of a misstep, the coach adjusted his side well and was rewarded with substitution Jonathan David scoring the winner.
