Match Reports and Team Details – Week commencing 17th November 2025
Monday 17th November
Westfield (represented by Woking U17) 8 – 0 Manorcroft United: U18’s Midweek Floodlit County Cup – First Round
Westfield FC, Woking Park
Report from Ian Tilley
A convincing win, on a cold evening, for a strong Westfield side against their visitors from the Combined Counties League.
With Manorcroft struggling to gain any forward momentum, Westfield had already hit the post through Callow and the bar through Chislett when Sam opened the scoring on 20 minutes. Gales dribbled strongly into the right hand side of the penalty area and his low cross was left by Chislett for Sam to finish from six yards.
It only took Westfield a couple of minutes to make it two, Sam turning provider with his own clever footwork in the penalty area creating the crossing opportunity which Hurp finished neatly from six yards, the hosts getting behind the Manorcroft defence all too easily.
Westfield continued in the ascendency and Mansour rued both a missed chance and a disallowed goal before Jefferies scored the third on 38 minutes. Hurp’s 25 yard free kick was spilled by the ‘keeper and Callow reacted smartly to knock the ball back into the middle for a straightforward close-range finish.
The visitors did not help themselves in the build-up to the fourth goal just a minute later, with Sam cutting out an ill-advised cross-field pass, before running confidently into the penalty area and finishing emphatically low to the ‘keeper’s left.
Half-time: Westfield 4 – 0 Manorcroft United
The four second-half goals came in a fine six-minute spell. More excellent wing play from Sam on 54 minutes started the onslaught, his low hard cross to the near post met resoundingly by Callow. As we gathered our thoughts a fine passing move involving Callow, Hurp and Sam teed up Mansour for an outstretched far-post finish to make it 6- 0.
With the visitors rather in disarray Hurp picked up the ball on the edge of the penalty area and struck firmly along the ground into the bottom corner for the seventh. Then Hurp became provider, a neat little pass to Callow met with a good finish across the ‘keeper.
Westfield maintained their good passing and did create more chances, but although there were a number of close calls there was no further score. They came closest through Richards, the ‘keeper doing well to tip his drive over the bar.
Westfield maintained their concentration well, Leedham running back to cover a rare Manorcroft threat, and ensure the clean sheet. We now await the draw for the Quarter-Final.

Goals: Sam 20, 39, Hurp 22, 56, Jefferies 38, Callow 54, 59, Mansour 55.

Woking 1st Team 1 – 2 Cobham: Surrey Senior Cup – Second Round
Laithwaite Community Stadium
Report from Holly Porter
Consistent with the previous round, Woking approached this encounter with a squad primarily consisting of academy players, who were joined by the first team’s O’Brien, Osude, Boatswain, and Ashford.
Indicative of a team that are currently dominating the Combined Counties Premier Division South, Cobham proved more of a challenge for the Cards, and Woking struggled to gain the same control they seized in the first round.
Indeed, it was Cobham who had the better of the opening chances, with a free-kick in the first minute which was headed narrowly wide, followed by a 4th minute edge-of-the-area shot which saw Verga dive into early action.
The closest Woking came to a lead in the early stages was with Patterson’s 10th-minute corner, which was nodded narrowly over the bar by Dryer.
It was then Cobham who had the ball in the back of the net, with a deep free-kick in the 12th minute being headed back into the goalmouth and tapped in from close range, but the flag was up, and the teams remained on level terms.
Osude changed this in the 19th minute, after he brought the ball down in the Cobham half, drove into the box, and smashed a solo effort into the net to take the advantage.
Involved again, Osude’s explosive run forward proved problematic for the visitors in the 27th minute, with a tactical yellow card from Cobham seeing him earn a free-kick just outside the penalty area. It was Patterson to take, with his effort thumping the crossbar in what was almost a two-goal cushion for the hosts.
As the half drew to a close, Woking continued to soak up the pressure from the visitors, who could not force their way back onto level footing before the break. One final chance before the interval for the Cards to double their advantage fell to Osude, who dragged a shot wide in the first minute of injury time.
Half-time: Woking 1 – 0 Cobham
Much like the start of the first half, there was plenty of defensive action for Woking as the second half got underway, with strong positioning and defensive interventions from both Wilson and Rangel denying the visitors. The 52nd minute saw a golden opportunity for Cobham, as a ball into the centre of the box was met with a first-time effort, but the shot could not be directed away from Verga.
In pursuit of a second, Boxall went close for the hosts in the 55th minute, with an effort which deflected over the bar. Despite some promising play forward for the Cards, it was a quick-fire double which saw the advantage swing to the visitors.
A 69th-minute free-kick from the edge of the box saw Patrick Murray level for Cobham, with the set-piece slotting into space on Verga’s left. The 71st minute then saw a corner ball volleyed in from the edge of the box by Nic Osborne, leaving the Cards with an uphill battle in the closing stages.
Plenty of Cobham pressure followed, with the hosts struggling to create a threat in the final third. Another edge-of-the-area free-kick for Cobham saw an effort fired over the bar in the 84th minute, with a shot from the goalmouth meeting the same fate in injury time for the visitors.
Ultimately, the two goals in quick succession proved costly for the Cards, as defeat saw them exit the Surrey Senior Cup.
Woking: Mikey Verga, Bailey Cotton, Sonny Parkes, Kemall Wilson, Chris Rangel, Quincy Patterson © (Sam Ashford 64’), Lucas Boxall, Tom Dryer, Aiden O’Brien (Leo Christophers 35’), Josh Osude, Ashley Boatswain (Jalil Page 64’). Unused substitutes: Jools Lacey (GK), Joel Jennison-Leppa.
Goalscorer: Osude (19’).
Man of the Match: Kemall Wilson.
Attendance: 169.
Friday 21st November
Slough Town 1 – 3 Woking U18: Suburban League – Premier Division
Arbour Park, Stoke Road
Report from Holly Porter
A frosty evening at Arbour Park saw a fast start from Slough, whose strong pursuit of an early advantage made for a nervy opening 5 minutes for the Cards. Despite this, it was the visitors who were able to capitalise on an early, well-crafted move forward.
A 7th-minute attack saw Boyle, Malhotra, and McGibbon link up on the right wing, with McGibbon subsequently finding Vally in the centre of the penalty area, who concluded the impressive team move by calmly slotting home.
Plenty of promising play followed from Woking, with Slough also showing threat on the break. A distinct chance to double the advantage fell to Page in the 24th minute, after Boyle skipped around the Slough defence, and found the forward in the box. With his back to the goal, however, the perfect execution was far from straightforward, and Page turned into a wall of orange protecting the Rebels’ net.
Just moments later, and with Lacey off his line, a golden chance for Slough to equalise followed, but the hosts could not capitalise on the empty net and sent a hurried effort wide.
It was then Page who delivered the second strike of the affair. On the 30-minute mark, an excellent ball threaded through the defence by Vally was well-carried forward by Page, who almost ran out of space, but squeezed his effort in from a tight angle to edge his side into a two-goal lead.
Opportunities fell for both sides as the half came to a close, with chances falling most notably to Akinwalere, whose 34th-minute close-range effort fired over the bar, and Vally, who lined up a shot on the edge of the box but couldn’t direct his 39th-minute effort away from the Slough no. 1.
One more goal fell before the half, but this went the way of the hosts. A well-struck 40th-minute effort from Euan Hlubanyana, hit from range, flew in on Lacey’s right to slash Woking’s lead.
Half-time: Slough Town 1 – 2 Woking
Opportunities flowed throughout the second half for the visitors, with a 50th-minute free-kick nodded scarcely wide foreshadowing the series of narrow misses to follow. Indeed, in the 54th minute, Christophers almost steered an effort from outside the box into the top corner but missed by the narrowest of margins.
Immediately back down the other end, an excellent save from Lacey denied the hosts an equaliser, with an effort destined for the bottom corner being met by the keeper.
Akinwalere was the next to go close for the Cards, after an excellent display of strength saw him get the better of the Slough pressure and charge through on goal. His 59th-minute effort, however, was saved by the feet of Slough’s no. 1. Much like Christophers’ earlier effort, Page also searched for the top corner, this time from the penalty area, but his 61st-minute effort met the same fate as the captain’s attempt.
Rigby joined in with the attacking action and, in the 68th minute, forced a brilliant save. His header, bound for the bottom corner, was excellently pushed back out by Slough’s ‘keeper, and the search to restore the two-goal advantage continued. In the 76th minute, Christophers left the woodwork shaking in a powerful strike from outside the penalty area and, moments later, Page dragged an effort wide from a corner in no shortage of opportunities for the Cards.
It was nothing short of excellent from Ledbury when Woking finally found their third. His 81st-minute effort from outside the box struck the underside of the crossbar and rolled into the back of the net in a moment of brilliance to confirm the victory for the visitors.
Woking: Jools Lacey, Jack McGibbon (Jack Tricker 46’), Joe Frawley (Thomas Ward 82’), Amario Malhotra (Frankie Bushby 85’), Ollie Rigby, Joel Jennison-Leppa, Louie Boyle, Leo Christophers ©, Jalil Page, Hayden Vally, Seyi Akinwalere (Will Ledbury 67’). Unused substitute: James Moore (GK).
Goalscorers: Vally (7’), Page (30’), Ledbury (81’).
