History-making Women’s FA Cup triumph

Yesterday our Women’s team overcame higher-league Bridgwater United in Somerset in the 2nd Round Proper of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a superb all-round team performance. Bridgwater scored in the 90th minute to go 1-0 up, but The Crows didn’t give up and went on to equalise late in stoppage time to take the tie to a penalty shoot-out. 

The Crows were perfect with their four spot kicks taken and goalkeeper (Millie Carter) saved Bridgwater’s third penalty to help ensure a 4-2 win in the shoot-out.

Our Women have now made club history by progressing to the lucrative 3rd Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup.

The draw for the 3rd Round takes place at 7pm on Monday (24 November), it will be streamed on the official Adobe Women’s FA Cup YouTube channel, along with TNT and Channel 4 YouTube.
