Marco Sturm Gives Update On Elias Lindholm After Full Bruins’ Practice

Boston Bruins star forward Elias Lindholm was a full participant in practice on Saturday.

Lindholm traveled with the Bruins on their California road trip and could return to the lineup any day now. Although he was a full participant on Saturday, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm isn’t sure he will be in the lineup on Sunday.

“Doesn’t mean anything yet,” Sturm said after practice on Saturday. “We’ll see, still going day by day. See how he feels today, see how he feels tomorrow, and kind of go from there.”

Lindholm skated on the Bruins’ third line alongside Fraser Minten and Mark Kastelic, replacing Tanner Jeannot, who missed practice for a maintenance day.

Lindholm has been out of the lineup since Oct. 30 due to a lower-body injury. This season, he’s recorded four goals and five assists for nine points in 13 games.

Although the Bruins picked up a road win over the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, Sturm still wanted the team to practice on Saturday.

“Even if we only got a little thing out of it, of a practice like today, it’s not really hard, but you always want to touch on one thing,” Sturm said. “I always pick one thing. It’s a little bit of the tracking and going back to our D-zone.

“We really noticed it in the Anaheim game, and we really noticed it last night, how much better we were. We just wanted to touch on it.”

Boston will return to the ice on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET against the San Jose Sharks.
