DARTS WOMEN BACK TO WINNING WAYS IN THE LEAGUE WITH 3-1 VICTORY AGAINST BRENTFORD FC WOMEN!

London and South East Regional Women’s Premier League, played on Sunday 16th, November 2025.

 

Darts Women were back on home soil following last weekend’s cup success, to take on promotion rivals Brentford FC Women in a huge top-of-the-table clash.

The game began tentatively with both sides struggling to gain the early advantage. The visitors had the first real clear-cut chance on goal midway through the first half. In the 17th minute, a free kick from Alissa Down forced a fine stop from Darts keeper Jade Charlton.

The home side began to grow in confidence as the first half went on and took the lead just after the half-hour mark. In the 31st minute, Georgie Davis did superbly well to keep the ball alive and the cross across the six-yard box found Xayla-Rae Alberts at the back post. The Darts captain headed home from close range to put the home side ahead.

The Darts doubled their lead seven minutes before the break. In the 38th minute, Lizzie Adams hit a strike from distance and the shot went over the keeper and into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 at half time.

The home side remained in the ascendancy as the second half began and goal number three came minutes after the restart. In the 48th minute, Abbey Davies crossed from the right, finding Georgie Davis free at the back post. The Darts defender headed home for the third goal of the afternoon for the home side.

Brentford got a goal back minutes later. In the 49th minute, a swift counter attack from the visitors saw the ball fall to Renai McCrea on the edge of the Darts box. A fine first time finish from the Brentford forward nestled into the bottom corner to give the visitors a lifeline.

The Darts tried to restore the three goal lead and went close to doing so in the 74th minute as a shot from Lizzie Adams flew past the keeper. The linesman flagged for offside in the build up and the goal was ruled out.
