0 2

Maidstone United Women begin their Kent Women’s Plate campaign this Sunday with an away fixture against Hollands & Blair Reserves.

The GoCardless Kent Women’s Plate is open to all Kent-affiliated teams competing at Tier 7 and below in the women’s football pyramid.

The Stones reached the semi-finals last season, losing 5-3 to eventual runners-up Hollands & Blair first-team.

Hollands & Blair Reserves play in the SECWFL Kent Division One Central – a tier below Maidstone. They progressed to this round via a walkover. In the league, they currently sit in the bottom two with four points from six matches.

Tori Campbell’s side are flying in the league, winning all four of their fixtures so far. Only Maidstone and league leaders Tonbridge Angels remain unbeaten, with the Stones having three games in hand. Last Sunday, Maidstone cruised past Sellindge with a 10-1 victory in the second round of the league cup.
