Queen’s Park captain’s armband makes first game extra special

Queen's Park captain's armband makes Vihaan's First Football Game extra Special

YOU DON’T forget your first football match.

And Vihaan Pulle has a long-lasting reminder of his first match day experience – the captain’s armband from Queen’s Park skipper Euan Murray.

The seven-year-old, from Kirkintilloch, had been invited to the recent William Hill Championship game against Ayr United by his friend Joseph – a young Spiders season ticket holder.

But after watching the dogged display from Sean Crighton’s side in standing firm to take a point with ten men, Vihaan was picked out of The city Stadium crowd and given the QPSA-sponsored gift.

At the end of each home game one young fan will land the special armband which bears the new-look supporters’ association crest.

The latest now rests in a display case in Vihaan’s bedroom where he keeps all his special football memorabilia.

Mum Gayathri said: “Vihaan had an amazing time at the game and was absolutely thrilled to receive the captain’s armband from Euan. It really made his day and he’s still talking about it!“

Keep an eye out for the captain at the end of this week’s match with Raith Rovers and you too could follow the Thomas Muir Primary pupil in taking home a special memento.
