Milton Williams’ Strong Message Ahead Of Patriots’ Return To Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots have enjoyed a return home after three straight away games in Weeks 5, 6 and 7. And while winning on the road is always great, star defensive tackle Milton Williams has a new challenge for the team as they prepare for their upcoming contest at Gillette Stadium.

Playing three straight games on the road is always a challenge, but the Patriots made it look easy, as they picked up victories over the Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans, which was the first time in franchise history the team had ever won three straight away games.

Now, New England will have to shift gears and prepare to play in front of their home fans for the first time in nearly a month. With that in mind, Williams challenged his teammates to do everything they could to protect their home-field advantage and get their fans hyped for this game.

“We’ve definitely gotta protect our home,” Williams said when speaking to reporters earlier this week. “We’ve been talking about road warriors and that’s always cool to go in somebody house and leave the stadium when it’s quiet and all the fans pissed off … Let’s do it at home and see how loud it can get in there.”

In his first seven games with the Pats, Williams has played a big role in the team’s success, racking up 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks. After signing a massive four-year, $104 million contract with New England in free agency, Williams has managed to meet the sky-high expectations set for him so far.

The Patriots are understandably the favorites ahead of their matchup with the Browns, but winning this game isn’t going to be as easy as many folks think it will be. If all goes according to plan, though, the Pats should be able to grind out their fifth straight win and send their fans home happy.
