The decision is not entirely surprising given that, as reported by FcInter1908, Conte has not given two press conferences in the same week when Napoli have played in the Champions League and Serie A this term.

This past Tuesday, the Partenopei lost 6-2 away at PSV in the Champions League Round 3, so Conte already spoke to the media barely three days ago.

Napoli have lost two consecutive games across all competitions and received more bad news before their home game against the Nerazzurri, given that both Rasmus Hojlund and Alex Meret have been ruled out due to injuries.

Napoli, Inter and Roma sit second in the Serie A table, level on 15 points, while Milan lead the standings with 16.
