Supercomputer makes worrying prediction about Tottenham’s chances of beating Everton

0 11

Tottenham fans will not like what Opta’s Supercomputer has said about the club’s chances of returning to winning ways in the Premier League against Everton on Sunday.

Thomas Frank is now undoubtedly under pressure, with the Dane’s honeymoon period at Tottenham well and truly over.

Following a defeat to Aston Villa and a 0-0 draw at Monaco, where Spurs were second best for the majority of the game, some serious questions are starting to be raised about the Dane’s tactics.

Many feel that Frank is getting his midfield selections wrong and that the double-pivot of Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha is leaving the Lilywhites devoid of creativity.

Everton are favourites to beat Tottenham on Sunday

The 52-year-old desperately needs a win away at Everton this Sunday to turn the narrative around, but Opta’s Supercomputer does not think a Tottenham win is the most likely outcome.

In their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the data-analysis website gives the Lilywhites only a 32.2 per cent chance of emerging with all three points.

David Moyes’ men are given a 41.1 per cent chance of winning, while the algorithm gives the draw a 26.7 per cent chance.

Spurs can take confidence from one strange stat

Tottenham’s home form this season has been relegation-battle worthy, with the North London side only having picked up four points from a possible 12 on offer at home.

However, Spurs boast of the joint-best record away from home, having picked up 10 from a possible 12 so far.

They remain unbeaten away from home, with the win at the Etihad Stadium being their best performance of the campaign so far. Frank will be desperate for that trend to continue at Merseyside on Sunday.
