Lang ‘talked once’ to Conte since joining Napoli
Noa Lang admits he has to ‘accept’ lack of playing time at Napoli but reveals he has only ‘talked once’ to Antonio Conte since joining the Partenopei over the summer.
Dutch winger Lang did not hide his frustration over the lack of playing time at Napoli after a 6-2 loss against his former club PSV on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old joined the Partenopei in a €25m deal in July, but has only collected 110 minutes on the pitch, making six appearances as a substitute.
Lang hopes for more playing time at Napoli
Lang spoke to local media after last night’s embarrassing defeat, admitting he’d hope to be given more chances at the Maradona.
“Every player wants to play. I don’t know what else to do. It’s better not to say anything,” Lang said via Gazzetta.
“I signed a contract here, and I have to accept it as it is. I don’t have any other choice.”
Coach Conte said Napoli signed too many players over the summer, and Lang revealed he’s barely spoken with his new coach since joining the Partenopei.
Lang only ‘talked to Conte once’
“I talked to him once, but now the match is more important. What we did was disgraceful; we were simply outclassed.”
Lang is under contract until June 2030 at the Stadio Maradona.
The Netherlands international scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 63 PSV appearances before joining Napoli over the summer.
