Video: How Milan coach Allegri reacted to Leao’s controversial penalty kick goal
Massimiliano Allegri didn’t watch Rafael Leao take a penalty kick against Fiorentina last night, but the Portuguese converted it for a 2-1 win at San Siro.
Milan coach Allegri was too nervous to watch Rafael Leao take a penalty kick against Fiorentina on Sunday evening, so he turned his back to the pitch while the Portuguese forward prepared to take the spot kick.
Leao eventually beat Fiorentina’s David De Gea, sending him the wrong way, and giving the Rossoneri all three points with his first home goals in 17 months.

Milan had missed six of the previous eight penalty kicks in Serie A matches, with the last one being one wasted by Christian Pulisic in an away game at Juventus before the international break.
Fiorentina director Daniele Pradé and coach Stefano Pioli were furious with the referee, claiming that the penalty kick decision was “disgraceful.” The Fiorentina boss even said that such calls from VAR encourage players to simulate.
