Castellanos nothing but trouble for Sarri between injury and transfer embargo
The injury to Taty Castellanos only serves to amplify the problems at Lazio, as the club was effectively forced to keep hold of him this season.
The centre-forward would probably have been on the transfer market over the summer if it hadn’t been for the transfer embargo preventing the Aquile from signing any replacements.
That is in part because his characteristics did not fit with new coach Maurizio Sarri’s ideas of football, but also as Castellanos had ambitions to try new experiences.
Castellanos a weight on Lazio’s necks
With no new buys allowed, the club had little choice other than to rely on Castellanos, so this fresh injury blow that keeps him out for at least six weeks is just serving to further amplify the existing problems.
Lazio had already been dealing with a remarkable run of injuries anyway, so this latest one leaves Sarri with practically no choice in picking his line-up.
The medical staff at the club insist they are ‘not worried,’ but at this point they owe fans an explanation rather than to wash their hands of the whole situation.
