Hampus Lindholm Injury: Latest On Bruins D-Man With West Coast Trip Looming
Hampus Lindholm appears unlikely to play in Monday’s matinee against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but a return might not be far off in the future.
The Boston Bruins defenseman departed Thursday’s win over the Chicago Blackhawks with what was deemed a lower-body injury. That is, of course, concerning against the backdrop of a 2024-25 campaign that saw Lindholm’s season cut short by a fractured kneecap.
Fortunately for the Bruins, this does not seem to be serious.
“He’s still day to day,” Bruins head coach Marco Sturm said Sunday, via The Boston Globe. “I still have to follow up, but he was on the ice today before we went on.”
Keeping Lindholm out Monday gives him a fair amount of added time to recover.
The Bruins will head to Vegas after playing the Lightning, where they’ll face the Golden Knights on Thursday. They’ll play the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday before facing the Utah Mammoth a day later, after which they’ll return to Boston.
Lindholm’s absence paved the way for Mass. native Jordan Harris to make his Bruins debut. He’s in line to continue filling in for Lindholm while he’s out.
