Re: Lewis Moody

It's very different now to when Lewis played, especially at Leicester, and he was known as Mad Dog for a reason.

Him and Ed Slater were of that era, and someone the size of Rob Burrow playing League back then would have had a lot of head knocks.

I actually think they are a lot more aware than other sports these days, and the gum shields that monitor the head shocks help.

I would have been looking at Cochrane getting an HIA when he had that head knock at one of the recent home games as an example.

The Wrexham player down early on after heading the ball away on Friday didn't seem great either.

Feels like the sports with the greatest risks are more aware but just by their nature it is harder to mitigate. Football is behind them them in terms of getting protocols in placed and enforced.
