Red Sox-Yankees AL Wild Card Playoffs Game 1 Starting Lineups

The New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 of their AL wild-card playoff series on Tuesday.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:08 p.m. ET.

Here’s the Yankees starting lineup:

“Postseason Baseball on deck in the Bronx,” the official account of the Yankees posted on X.

New York is trotting out a righty heavy lineup against Red Sox ace left-hander Garrett Crochet, opting to start Amed Rosario at second base over All-Star Jazz Chisholm Jr.

The only lefties in manager Aaron Boone’s Game 1 starting nine are Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Austin Wells.

Here’s how Boston will open the best-of-three set:

“Our guys for Game 1,” the official account of the Red Sox posted on X.

Manager Alex Cora’s only lefty to begin Game 1 against southpaw Max Fried is Jarren Duran.

Second baseman Nick Sogard is a switch-hitter, while the likes of Rob Refsnyder and Nate Eaton earned the series-opening start over lefty-swinging outfielders Masataka Yoshida and Wilyer Abreu. Romy Gonzalez is notably starting instead of another lefty, Nathaniel Lowe, at first base.
