David Pastrnak Returns From Injury, Makes Training Camp Debut

“Pasta” made his 2025 training camp debut on Monday.

Boston Bruins star forward David Pastrnak returned to the ice to begin the week after being sidelined last week due to tendonitis.

The 29-year-old told reporters that he isn’t concerned about the injury, noting that he played with the ailment last season.

“I wouldn’t be too worried about it. Obviously, spent a lot of time in the summer to make it better — and it did get much better than it was last year,” Pastrnak said, according to a report by Belle Fraser of BostonBruins.com. “It’s not perfect yet, so it was perfect timing to try to get it even better.”

The four-time All-Star finished last season with 43 goals and tied his career-high of 63 assists. Pastrnak was also as durable as ever, playing in all 82 regular season contests for the third consecutive campaign.

“As soon as he steps on the ice, there’s a certain presence we were missing the last few days,” head coach Marco Sturm said, per Fraser’s report. “It was good energy, especially coming from him.”
