Man United man takes baffling action on social media just like Sancho and Garnacho

Manchester United returned to winning ways by beating Chelsea 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The fiery contest produced two first-half red cards, but Casemiro’s header from close range proved the decisive moment.

Several United players rose to the occasion, but Amad Diallo once again failed to leave his mark.

The Ivorian has endured a sluggish start to the season and has now sparked intrigue by wiping his entire Instagram feed.

The move felt baffling, especially in the aftermath of such an important victory.

The 23-year-old shared an Instagram story after the win in which he was exchanging matchday jerseys with Alejandro Garnacho.

The Argentine was greeted with a few boos when he came onto the pitch for training before the kick-off.

Garnacho pushed for a move to join Chelsea in the summer after falling out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim.

Both Jadon Sancho and Garnacho have previously scrubbed their social media accounts as a show of frustration during their time at Old Trafford.

Amorim will hope that Diallo can keep his focus on football and not on the noise from outside.

The winger was outstanding last term, finishing with 11 goals and 10 assists across 43 appearances in all competitions.

A February injury sidelined him for weeks, opening the door for Bruno Fernandes to clinch yet another Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.

Diallo looks a shadow of the player who lit up United just months ago.

He is still waiting for his first goal of the campaign and has managed only a single assist in six outings.

Not just the numbers, his overall performance has dipped dramatically.

Diallo has great ability to take on defenders but he seems a bit lost right now.

In the first half, Chelsea’s substitute goalkeeper was way off his line with Diallo having all the space on the left flank.

Diallo had acres of space on the left but wasted the chance with poor decision-making instead of squaring to Benjamin Sesko.

It was just one of several occasions where he should have done better.

Amorim sees Diallo as a key part of his squad and the onus is on the youngster to deliver this season.
