Another game where he was too easily pushed around during a corner, with Chelsea scoring before the linesman raised the offside flag. Eventually, he allowed a goal from another set-piece.

De Ligt superbly rescued his side at the hour mark by making a sublime intervention to stop Joao Pedro take a strike from a very good position. He has been the best United defender this season.

An excellent performance from the former captain. He was strong in defence and very smart with his ball distribution.

He was aggressive today to win the header in the build-up to Casemiro’s goal.

A fantastic performance from Mazraoui. He won all seven duels and made a crucial intervention in the penalty box to stop a rare Chelsea attack.

One of the rare evenings where he was taken off.

It was another lively display from the Cameroon international, who won the early battle against Chelsea’s goalkeeper.

Benjamin Sesko – 7/10
