2 big changes: Predicted Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Chelsea with Sesko & Bayindir decisions
Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Premier League at Old Trafford today.
The Red Devils have registered four points from as many games this term, and need a good result against the Blues.
The club are unbeaten in the last 12 league meetings versus the Blues at home, but have picked up only five wins.
Ahead of today’s game, we anticipate two changes to the starting 11 from the defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Predicted Line-up:
Amorim has vocally backed Altay Bayindir this term. The Turkey international is poised to continue in goal against the Blues later today.
Luke Shaw had a dreadful outing in the Manchester derby last weekend and was partly guilty for each of the three goals conceded.
We expect him to make way for Harry Maguire in central defence.
The former captain could start in the middle of the back three. Matthijs de Ligt could move to the right with Leny Yoro on the opposite end.
Noussair Mazraoui had a good outing in his first start of the campaign at right wing-back. He won plenty of duels and should keep his spot.
The same can be said about Patrick Dorgu. He was one of United’s best performers at the Etihad Stadium, but struggled higher up the field.
He was defensively sound in most phases and should get the nod at left wing-back once more.
Casemiro lacks the mobility to control proceedings in the centre of the park. He could come second to Moises Caicedo, who has a tireless work rate.
Hence, Manuel Ugarte looks poised to start in the number six position. Bruno Fernandes is likely to feature in central midfield despite his frustration.
Matheus Cunha is back to full fitness after his hamstring injury. We expect him to line up alongside Bryan Mbeumo in the attacking midfield department.
Amad Diallo barely created any chances against the Cityzens and should drop to the bench.
Manager Ruben Amorim has said that Benjamin Sesko ‘wants everything‘ ahead of the Chelsea clash and he is expected to lead the line for the Red Devils.
Amorim has the opportunity to pick his dream attack from the start.
